Rod found the love of this life Sandra in his later years, online.  He was in the USA and she was in Powell River and their love for the ocean connected them –  the sailor and the mermaid. 

Rod was loved dearly by his wife and many friends and family that joined together for his Celebration of Life at The Seasider Bistro, the perfect location on the sea.
