I shoot photos for a website called Look Better Online, they help people update their photos for their online dating profiles. Not only do they arrange the photographer but together with the client and photographer they help choose the clothing and look. They can choose different package options but most people choose to do at least 2 or 3 wardrobe changes plus a variety of locations. I try to find locations that offer lots of variety for backgrounds within the same vicinity. It usually takes a while for the client to warm up during these photo shoots because it is kind of awkward to be putting one’s self out there. However, after not too long I usually have them smiling naturally and feeling good.
Sometimes as in the case of Luke, he felt it was important to him to be doing one of his favourite things, playing guitar, in some of the profile photos. So, we started the photo shoot at Luke’s apartment so he could plug in his electric guitar to play for the shoot. Afterward, we headed out to Lonsdale Quay to get a great variety of backgrounds.
